About Dr. Rueda.
Carlos A. Rueda, MD, MBA, is the Medical Director of PMC. He also serves as Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry and Chief Innovation and Wellness Officer for St. Joseph's Health System. Dr. Rueda is board certified in psychiatry and geriatric psychiatry. He has more than 20 years of experience in clinical care and in leading psychiatry departments, in settings from nursing homes to regional and university teaching hospitals.
He trained in psychiatry and geriatric psychiatry at St. Vincent's Hospital and Medical Center in Greenwich Village, New York City. He also holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management, focused on healthcare operations, innovation and entrepreneurship.
His leadership roles have included:
- Director of Psychiatry at Terence Cardinal Cooke Health Care Center and St. Vincent's Midtown Hospital in Manhattan
- Chair of Psychiatry at Our Lady of Mercy Hospital in the Bronx and at Orange Regional Medical Center
- Chief Medical Officer and Vice President for Medical Affairs at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, Massachusetts
